Claudio Golinelli

Nicknamed "Gallo" at the age of eight he started playing the drums (music) in the band of his father called "GinoK". At age 12, he attended the academy, alternating it with "live" experiences with new rock bands and graduated in double bass. Four years later, struck by Paul McCartney, he leaves for London, where he plays the bass guitar with various bands in the area and records some vinyl disks. In 1969 he has the first professional experience as a bassist in the group "I baci" (where he plays with guitarist Jimmy Villotti and former drummer of Fred Bongusto, Gilberto Rossi), then some television broadcasts, recordings and musical shows. After the military service in the Air Force, he continues to play in rock bands, in particular with the Italian-American Zebra Crossing, with whom he plays in an European tour. In 1979 he joins the Gianna Nannini band, working for the artist in the studio and live. Since 1981 he starts cooperating with Vasco Rossi.

In 1983, he plays with Ron and the Stadio band in the tour and the live album ''Tutti i cuori viaggianti'', for which he’s not credited as well. In 1984 he joins the Steve Rogers Band, starting a long season of concerts with Vasco Rossi which is still going on. After the group dissolved, in 1990 he records for several albums by Italian artists including the Stadium, with whom he recorded the album ''Siamo tutti elefanti inventati'', Marco Conidi and Paola Turci, Gerardina Trovato, Tazenda, Eugenio Finardi, Franco Battiato e Adriano Celentano.

In 2000 he joins the "Class" with whom he records an album and tours Italy for a long series of concerts. Currently, in addition to playing with Vasco Rossi, he plays as a guest with the Vascombriccola, Diapasonband, Vizi e Virtù and returns to the scene with Steve Rogers Band together with Maurizio Solieri Mimmo Camporeale, Beppe Leoncini, Andrea Innesto and Christian Bagnoli.

In 2004 he also plays in the winter tour of Simone Tomassini, the young rocker launched by Vasco in the same year and with him he also records the album " Buon Viaggio " in 2005, and the hits " Fatto di cartone " "Quando sei ragazzo" and "Dea".

In 2008 he is diagnosed with a liver tumor that prevents him from playing in some concerts with Rossi. He recovers completely in 2009 in occasion of the “Tour Indoor''. In 2010 he records the bass parts for several tracks of the album ''Vivere o niente'' by Vasco Rossi. In November 2012 he is awarded with the "Nati sotto l'orologio", the highest honor of the city of Imola. In the Autumn of 2012, in addition to continuing the collaboration with Vasco Rossi, he undertakes the project of the Gallo Team with many shows throughout Italy. Besides him, the band consists of Cristian Cicci Bagnoli, guitarist and voice of Steve Rogers Band, Fabrizio Foschini, keyboardist of Stadio band and Adriano Molinari, drummer of Zucchero Fornaciari.

With the Gallo team he records two singles "Per Noi" released in the Spring 2013 and "Notte da Paura" released in early 2014. The title of the first single "Per Noi" has also immediately become the piece with which Vasco Rossi presents live on stage Golinelli.
